  We are still shipping Leyland Cypress, Thuja Green Giant during the summer. We water them well, and have our drivers travel at night so the trees arrive cool and wet. If you have a 2,500 minimum order, email us or call 240-498-8054 We take phone orders on evenings .
 

You should order from Watterson tree farm because:

Current pricing and # of trees per load info.
The rootball size mostly determines how many to a truckload. Goal is that your load is close to 40,000 lbs without going over. For example, trees in a 28" rootball typically weigh 500 lbs each, so we can fit 80 on a load without being overweight.  

 

I need your signed work and deposit back in my hands 1 week before delivery date, so get me in the loop as soon as you can so I can write your work order get it to you in time.

frost date in your area.  That way you could avoid problem of delayed dormancy.

October Glory Red Maple.

Scientific Name: Acer rubrum - 'October Glory.' Mature Height: 40 to 50 feet.

Spread: 25 to 35 feet. Growth Rate: Fast (more than two feet per year).

Flowers: Small red, early spring. Hardiness Zones : 5 through 8

Foliage: Deciduous; green in summer, brilliant red in fall.

Red Sunset red maple

Scientific Name: Acer rubrum - 'Red Sunset.' Mature Height: 50 to 60 feet.

Spread: 40 to 50 feet. Growth Rate: Fast (two feet or more per year).

Flowers: Tiny red flowers are the first sign of spring in the trees.

Foliage: Deciduous; red in early spring, change to green all summer, then to brilliant red in late fall. These stunning red leaves hang on for at least three weeks most years, making the Red Sunset one of the best trees for fall color.

Hardiness Zones : 4 through 8.

Culture: Requires full sun to partial shade. While the tree is drought tolerant once established, it prefers wet soil or at least to be kept moist for optimal growth. This red maple variety is highly adaptable to many soil types.

River Birch Botanical Name: Betula nigra

Eastern United States, from southern New England to Florida Hardiness Zone: 3 - 9

Mature Size: Height 45' - 50'; Spread 30'- 40'

Foliage: Summer: dark green upper side, light green on underside.  Fall: Golden-yellow.

Twigs/Bark: The beautiful trunk is cinnamon-colored to cream or orange color.

Growth Rate: Fast, full size in 30 years

Site Requirements: Makes best growth on moist river bottom soil, but has proven to be adaptable to dried sites. Full sun to partial shade.
